Hi

I have just found out that some of my rellies went to australia (NSW) around 1907/1908. their names were john ballantyne chalmers married to agnes virtue feathers and their son james also went.

where is the best place to look for a passenger list online?

its great i just googled agnes virtue feathers as i was having trouble finding a death for her and john and up popped a site with info about their son james. turns out he was a member of the australian parliament and the site also had a photo of him! :D :D :D :D

For the outgoing passengerlists, - http://www.ancestorsonboard.com/ , - now, or very soon, - I'm not sure if your years of interest are covered yet.

For arrival lists, for online material, see Online Australasian Passenger lists at www.list.jaunay.com/ausnzpassengers/ . There's also plenty material in Oz, and I'm sure one of the members here will direct you.

Thanks for your reply. i have found the people i was looking for on the ancestorsonboard site. :D :D

i forgot it was in conjunction with findmypast.com and we had credits for that left over for something else we were looking for :oops: :oops: :oops:
