Hi Lainey
It was Margaret Baird, Alexander and Elizabeth Muir's Daughter, that witnessed both their deaths.
I have them on file.

Is this dialogue still current? I am an English (!) great-great-grandson of Alexander McMichael and have some potentially interesting information. I also have my own ideas about Alexander's mother's maiden name.

Hi Peoples on this thread, I have just started looking at these Carmichael/McMichael families.
Would appreciate getting in touch with all or any of you again by swapping emails and to find out what documents everyone has to save spending more money on Scotland's people!
The local dialects obviously have a major influence on the pronunciation of the two names and what is recorded by a registrar or parish clerk! So many surnames for their wives, eg. HARLEN, WARLEN, STIRLING!
I might try going to my local FHS affiliate library in coming weekends to see if it is possible to browse the PRs so it is easier to get a sense of the chronology and other families in the same parishes.
Hope someone replies!!
