looking for any descendant of Alexander MOFFAT born Abt 1842 he married Isabella NOBLE born abt 1746 both from West Linton.
also one of their sons William MOFFAT born abt 1782 west linton who married Christina(christian) BAIN born Abt 1789 west linton.
also one of their sons William MOFFAT born 8 nov 1817 west linton who married Alison BROWN born Abt 1819 edinburgh,scotland
also one of their daughters Marion MOFFAT born 1861 warepa,New Zealand who married William ROSS bron 1854 Australia.

I sincerely hope you meant that Alexander MOFFAT was born in 1742, not 1842

When William and Alison left for New Zealand, did any of their siblings stay in Scotland? If so, you could try to follow them down the years and see who their descendants might be.
