:D Hello All,

I'm looking for my third great-grandmother's folks - John Fletcher b. 1776-1781 and Mary Campbell, age unknown, the woman who gave birth in Kilfinan. Here's just the facts...

Betsey Fletcher birth cert 1813 518/1 (Kilfinan, Argyll) Elizabeth Fletcher, natural daughter to John Fletcher and Mary Campbell was
born 27 Sep 1812 and baptized 14 Feb 1813

FLETCHER John M 60 Gardner Argyllshire (born 1776-1781)

Name John Fletcher
Sex Male
Christening Date 12 Sep 1767
Christening Place Kilfinan, Argyll, Scotland
Father's Name Archibald Fletcher
Mother's Name Mary Marques

The above birth, from familysearch and scotlandspeople, is the area's only good match. I combed through the Kilfinan church register for any mention of "fornication" but no Fletcher entry. I could not find John Fletcher on any other census, cemetery, etc. Is there any other way to prove which John Fletcher? I'm not even trying for which Mary Campbell but that find would be extraordinary!

Thank you for reading and any guidance you might share,
Cathy
