Further to my previous post, I can see a death for an Andrew McCready in Chorlton, Lancs, 1882, J Quarter, Volume 8C, page 445. You can order a copy of that death certificate from GRO Southport.

McCreadie is a tricky surname, with several possible spellings.

The death in Chorlton, 1882 is sadly for a child , born 1880 mother's maiden name Stevenson.
