Oh to hang, I'm going to admit it. What on earth is the image filter, where is it and how do I get it?
To be sure I could find the correct viewed image I have always saved to Timeline and then gone into the right year group when I needed another view.
Must be something far wrong with me, I've been looking for 10 minutes and can't fathom out what or where it is.

Hi Lorna
When logged in to SP, go to your Previous Searches. Scroll to the bottom of the page....
Or in your Viewed Images on SP, do the same.
Best wishes

Being absolutely hopeless at ever finding
anything 'previously viewed' I save every image into a folder then call it something I'll remember for when I want to look at it again.
(Plus, having a few wee sneaky SP accounts, I can never remember which one I used to do the search in the first place)

Right - well, of course there it was a wee message at the foot. Thanks for that Lesley. Dare I ask, that helps how? It just seems to tell me that I have got one record of a guy with the name I enter, but I thought that I would be able to get to see that in full.
I just know it is once again going to be blindingly obvious. You are all SO kind and never say you are sniggering behind your hand.

Hi Lorna
Dare I ask, that helps how?
If (like me) you have hundreds of searches or previously viewed images, it lets you serch for one by name or location without having to trawl through all the list!
Best wishes

Hi Lesley
Yes, but when I enter "Alexander Tait" and click it tells me that I have "1". Well, I know that, what I want to do is see the whole image. Presumably I should click/double click somewhere to see the whole thing - but where?
Regards
Lorna

Hi Lorna
The result will depend on whether it has been found in your Previous Searches or your Viewed Images.
It is possible to have many previous searches for which you have not viewed any images, just viewed the results of the search.
As normal, to view an image or the results of a search on SP you just click on the View link and if you have already paid for that search or that image you will be able to view it again.
Best wishes

Hi Lesley
No view link. Above the "1" I am asked if I want to have it as pdf, excel, text . . . Clicked pdf up came a lovely headed blank page. It's me, of course I know it's me.
Anyway why am I taking up your time? I can get what I want through Timeline.
Thanks so much for being patient. I have now washed filtering from my mind
Bye now
Lorna

Previous Searches
Display as report Export as PDF file Export as Excel file Export as Spreadsheet file Export as Text file
is along the top of the page and refers to the page contents, not the individual record. It should enable you to save a list of resullts shown on a page in a format of use to you.
The
View link should be to the right of each record.
On the other hand, if you are seeing something like:
Previous Searches
Display as report Export as PDF file Export as Excel file Export as Spreadsheet file Export as Text file
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1
Type From To Page Name Sex Location Performed
1
Then you are on
page one of results and there are no results to show for that search. Is that what you are seeing?
Best wishes

Hi Lesley
That is it absolutely. I have again gone into "Viewed Images", typed in Thomas Tait (having first checked in Timeline and made sure that I do indeed have this death cert for 1869), checked the filter box and up comes all the headings you mention showing a "1" above and below "purchased" and that is my lot.
To be honest Lesley, I am embarrassed about taking up space with this now - it doesn't matter, I can live without a filter

Don't mind continuing on a PM if you feel so inclined but really, you have better things to do with your time. You have been a great help in the past and your efforts are much appreciated. Face it - with some folk there is nothing even you can do
regards
Lorna
