Hi all

I know that the information you want to exchange is with the best possible intentions.

The subject was discussed by the Admin. Group some time ago, back in April in fact. The following recommendation was posted at that time

spare information

Post by donna petrie » Sun Nov 19, 2006 11:48 pm

I see; I paid for the certs so I didn't understand why I couldn't give someone else information on my cert. However I shall abide by your rules. Too bad because I have so many spare BMDs. The site you mention has been of no use to me in my searches as I have not found one family member listed. Donna

Hi Donna,

Even though you haven't been lucky enough to find any of your relatives on free BDM, perhaps your additions there will help some other poor soul searching for records. May even be someone who doesn't know of the kind people here at talkingscot.

The information on the register entries is in the public domain, so that you can pass on the information to whomsoever you wish, but you are not permitted to do that by sending them a copy of the image from ScotlandsPeople or a photocopy of a register entry from GROS.
