SP Buying Credits

Post by JohnI » Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:12 pm

When I tried to buy some credits on scotlandpeople this afternoon, I got a pop up menu telling me that:

This page contains both secure and non secure items.
Do you want to continue?

I do not remember seeing this menu before.

On entering yes, the normal payment page appeared, but the closed gold lock at the bottom right corner of the window had disappeared.

Are your SP payment issues resolved now? I contacted SP and they have acted on it this afternoon.

I see the secure webpage "padlock symbol" is there now, and the "secure and non-secure items" question has gone away.

All the best,

Hi andrew,

I have not tried to purchase more this morning, but somehow over my night I have received one "Transaction Confirmation" for six pounds worth of credits which are not showing on my account at SP. Now I am shocked to look at my bank account and see a whopping FIVE payments for credits having been removed. These are the tries I had, which I cancelled when it told me to and yet it still took payment, only ONE of which I have any confirmation for at SP@

HELP!

Nina

What do I do now?

hi Nina
What do I do now?
I think sending a contact form to SP would be the best thing to do. Just explain the problems you had and I would hope they will help sort it out for you.

best wishes
Lesley

Nina

I had the same problem trying to buy some credits last night my time. So far I have not had any email confirmation of any purchases so I will keep a look out on the bank account to see if there are any deductions. I havent been back into SP since last night so will have a look later.

Oh dear...I hope you weren't billed as well Stew.

My concern is that I have been billed for thirty pounds worth of credits that I really and truly can't afford. This happens to be a very slow month for me workwise and I hummed and hawed about buying just 30 credits. I am really hoping they will refund the money to me.

Of course my other concern is I only have TWO confirmation of payment emails, not FIVE. I don't WANT the credits! So I did try to explain this to them in my email, but the system may not be able to deal with refunds, if they are like other online payment sites.

In the meantime I can't do any searches as I have zero credits at SP and have to wait until they sort this. I know it isn't their fault, just a glitch and all that, but still annoying and worrying!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have been billed twice also, so much for the cancel transaction button.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I have to confess funds are a bit tight here as well at present. Hummed and Ha'd myself about buying more credits this week.

And NO! confirmation emails either. Or any credits to boot.

Contact message sent.

Hi Stew,

Well if it happened to me and you it might have happened to others, so I am sure SP will deal with it in their usual professional and efficient manner. But I hope they do before the next bill comes in! :P
