We were also emailing back and forth this morning and I have just returned home to this message.

Good afternoon again,

I think we were both singing from the same hymn sheet but different pages!

Customers were able to view images form previous searches EVEN if search
time was finished as long as those searches had been paid for. However, they
were not able to do any new searches or view from ' unpaid' searches.I think
what threw me was
" from previously unviewed searches "

So, if you had completed a search, you could choose to view an image even if
time was finished, but not with new searches.

I have now asked management regarding this and have been told that a deploy
will be in place for this within the next 2 - 3 weeks. I have not been
given an exact date I'm afraid.

Regards

Alison

John, you will have to commend her at the UG meeting.

Annette M
John and I will certainly mention the matter to Alison on an informal basis immediately prior to the User Group meeting, as any mention of the details of the situation during the meeting itself, so that such mention could appear in the minutes of the User Group meeting, might not be the best outcome !!

Hello Davie,

praise where it is due, but you may be thinking about a different Alison. Alison W mentioned that Alison H is now the main customer point of contact, and she was going to talk to Richard about introducing her to us.

Colin Grant left SOL to concentrate on his musical career.

(Be assured that this board will not turn into a rival to Heat or OK magazine).

Regards,

John

I don’t know one Alison from the other, but do know that I appreciated this Alison’s persistence in staying with me and discussing the issues over and over.
When I wrote the contact form I was sure we had been “found out” and “they” had put a stop to it. My attitude was not the best. Alison reacted to my tone, and we had a bit of a problem developing communication. To her credit, she did not just go away, but followed through on her end. I still can’t believe that option will be restored - not that she is telling an untruth- just that it seems too good to be true.
Whoever she is, she has a great sense of humour and out last exchanges have been quite fun and personal.
The ability to continue research beyond a time limit is important to many of us who had learnt to include the technique into our methods. The system certainly was not intended for that to happen and I still don’t understand how it was allowed in the programming. I do hope when it gets into “open” discussion that they will indeed decide that since it has been available for so long [two years?] that it will be restored.

Re: viewing images when time has expired

Hello all,

sorry, but I should have closed this off earlier.

The original topic was that a previous feature had disappeared after an upgrade in May. The feature was that you could use credits after your time had expired in order to view for the first time an image from your previous searches.

I believe that this feature was restored in August and a user has confirmed this (I do not have a way of testing).

John
