Oh my! Is this right? I just received a reply, supposedly from Scotland's People, calling themselves "brightsolid (formerly Scotland Online)". I don't know....it doesn't look like the usual professional Scotland's People email to me!
AND not only that....one payment has come out of my bank account, but I received NO email confirming payment and NO credits! I tried to buy credits at least six times....is this going to deduct money from my account for all my 'attempts'? I know from the last time this happened, Scotland's People didn't want to reimburse me if I didn't have the confirmation emails.
I am having a bit of a panic here!
Problem purchasing credits

Hi Nina,
On Googling for Scotland Online, the expected result of www.scotlandonline.co.uk comes up. On clicking on that link, you are then diverted to www.brightsolid.co.uk and these is an announcement on that page.
The main news article on their homepage is as follows:
As you will see from the brightsolid (formerly Scotland Online) website, they are an IT solutions company. They host the ScotlandsPeople website under contract from GROS who outsourced that a number of years ago. They work in partnership with GROS on the ScotlandsPeople website, with some of the responsibilities on their side, and some on GROS's side.
All the best,
AndrewP

Hi Nina (a few minutes later),
I see there is a statement in the small print at the foot of the ScotlandsPeople home page to that effect. http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/

Well that is sort of a relief Andrew, thanks....I think SP should have had some sort of announcement in big letters or somthing so as not to freak people out.
I am hoping this is rectified soon...but I will also contact my bank first thing tomorrow.

Well I just tried again, and was successful. However the payment page looks like the old one they used to have. Maybe they were changing it over. I wish if that were the case they could let users know so we wouldn't panic!
As for the payment taken from my bank account yesterday, it still does not tell me what it was for, but I remember I did buy 30 credits on Saturday when it was working fine, so that might be it.

I've been having a bit of bother. Tried to purchase twice and each time it took so long I cancelled it. Just noticed I have a confirmation email for one but the top up is not showing on SP so I guess I will be sending them a contact form.
