Email from..............

My inbox has an email which the address is
sec@sct.ukonline.......... Important Account Information

I wondered if this had anything to do with SP payment gateway but normally confirmation emails from that is securepayment@scotlandonline.co.uk
Anything that normally says Important Account Information that hasnt already gone in the Spam folder by default i do "report spam" as if it was that important and was a genuine account they would write to me, but just though i would check on this one before i do trash it.

Hi Tracey,

I don't think it's to do with SP as Scotland On Line has recently been re-branded as BrightSolid and that change includes their e-mail addresses.

My feeling is that this is one of these spam e-mails that purports to be from a bank or similar organisation asking for your details including PIN numbers, passwords and the like. Never to be reply to these e-mails. As I am sure your bank has informed you, they (or other similar organisations) will never ask you to tell them your passwords or PIN numbers.

Thanks Andrew, in the bin it goes.
My most recent dealings with SP were on the 1st and 4th of this month and on the payment email it has
Please send email enquiries to scotlandspeople@scotlandonline.co.uk and this is what i was confusing it with.
Is odd how these spammers send you emails that have a viag connection to sites that you use

So if i or any of us get an email in the future from BrightSolid it will be from SP ?

Should be. BrightSolid hosts or owns other brand names, but SP is the one probably best known around here, followed by Find My Past.
