... regarding the OPR death records? I had it in my head that it was hoped they would be available late this year...

”Paul reported that the work programme for the OPR deaths should be completed by the end of 2008. Ken explained that there may be little information in some cases other than details of mortcloth fee and that it was often burial date rather than date of death that was listed.”
But because so many Parishes didn’t keep these records or kept them poorly and for the usual other reasons the records to be released are likely to represent only a small proportion of the deaths that actually occurred.
