Hello,
I have 16 credits but no time left on SP at the moment. I was browsing through some previous search results and decided to view one but I was directed to the payment page.
I don't see why I should have to buy another 30 credits when I have more than enough to view. I was able to do this on the old site.
Has something changed?

Annette
Just tried to view previous results with expired credits, without problem. One for the contact form, I think.

In view of the cost of looking up images on SP, is it not a wonderful thing to discover the face on the jigsaw logo is a bloke called Bill King. And there are 2 ways to take that!

Good morning,
The reason for this is because your search time has expired as the credits
were purchased on July 12th.
Please see

details regarding this.

I'm confused as I am positive I could view previous searches as long as I had credits. Help

Re: viewing of images
Hello Annette,
another person e-mailed about this, and I am waiting a reply from SP about whether this can be answered now or should be put to the User Group meeting (8th August).
Regards,
John

Said help section includes the text

You can access any of your previous searches and downloaded images, without charge, simply by logging in to the site. There is no time limit on how long you can keep these searches and images. You can also order copies of any of your previously viewed records at any time.

Nothing is said about having to have credits left in order to access this material...............
I have a number of login identities at ScotlandsPeople, one of which currently has no credits left, and the previous search period expired some time ago, and when I log in and hit the Previous Searches and Viewed Images tabs, there's no problem seeing the list, - although the layout is a wee bit unfamiliar.
As Sporran is currently in contact with SoL on this problem, I'll keep my head down for the moment...........

Re: viewing images
Hello Davie,
there is no difference to viewing previous searches and images. What has changed is the ability to decide to view an image for the first time based on your previous search, i.e. to spend 5 credits when your time has expired. This was undocumented, but pointed out a few times by someone on the SP discussion group.
Regards,
John
