"The future of http://www.scottishdocuments.com:
IMPORTANT NOTICE
In October 2004 and January 2005 we wrote to all our existing customers to keep them up-to-date with the transfer of our Scottish Wills service to etc, etc. "
I replied that I had no idea what had happened to my Scot Docs. They are still not on SP despite several contact forms. I was told a while ago they would merge my accounts and issue me a new user name. Being an awkward whotsit I wrote back and told them I didn't want a new user name and how difficult was it to just merge my existing accounts and retain one of my existing usernames??
Scot Docs got back to me today and now I'm concerned-
Their reply:
"Dear Lesley
Thank you for responding to our e-mail.
I confirm that the e-mail address and password for your ScottishDocuments account are
[existing email address]@something.com [password] (I've editied this bit!!)
The attached file shows the contents of your account.
Having checked the ScotlandsPeople website I note that you have two accounts, one with the username and e-mail
[existing username] [existing email address]@something.com
and the second with the username and e-mail
[name that is jumbled up version of mine]@hotmail.com
this second account currently contains no images.
You should be receiving confirmation of the completed transfer of your Scottish Documents images to ScotlandsPeople, with your username and password, in early September.
If you do not receive such confirmation please let us know, and we will investigate further.
Yours sincerely
Hazel Anderson
the Scottish Wills team"
I've written back to Hazel as I'm now very worried. I dunno who the heck "[name that is jumbled up version of mine]@hotmail.com" is but it sure isn't me! Any email sent to that address will not reach me and may, in a worst case scenario, be arriving in someone else's mailbox. I certainly don't want details of my transactions being sent to a third party! Very worrying indeed.
