Hi all, what am I doing wrong on scotlandspeople ?, I bought 30 units yesterday and used the lot viewing the wrong images,also i searched for the death of the father with no joy and there seems to be no record of the family in the 1891 or 1901 census, yet the son was married in glasgow in 1908,Ive also tried to find the family in Ireland on igi with no joy, what is my problem ?.emma

Hi Annette, I have the marriage certificate of Patrick mcgowan and mary McLachlan in 1908 ,it states that terence(his father) was dead and his mother was anne mcgowan,nee hoey, I could not find any reference to terence in any census but I did find a anne mcgowan, 1901 census, but not with family, at the time of patricks marriage it says he lived in provan hill st, glasgow and mary lived in garngad road, glasgow, patrick was 25yrs old which would put his birth at 1883.I tried igi and found a patrick born to terence and anne,but it said anne keany mcgowan , in ireland, but not marriage of terence to anne keany. yours Emma
