Image Problems
Maggie,
I'm having the same problem, dont know if you have the Hard Disk space, but if you change your profile to direct download this will allow you to download the image directly to your computer. Works for me. Yes and I will submit a report to SP.

Hi,
I also had a problem with viewing previous searches, not sure if it's the same problem as yours but here's the reply I had from SP.
"There has been an issue which has affected only certain criteria / labels.
We are confident of rectifying this with the next fix which we are hoping to
have in place soon however this will not happen until full testing has taken
place. At this stage we have no spcific date."
They also gave me some credits for my trouble.
Cheers,
Merlot

Hello
I too have problems with S.P. freezing up my P.C. when attempting to access images. Have sent two contact forms. Is this the classic ’’ new, improved ‘’ version of a product that previously worked well ( for me anyway)?

Please keep us posted in terms of replies to your contact forms, as I, and other ScotlandsPeople User Group members will be most interested to note the replies or absence thereof, and follow up on the absence of a reply, or an inadequate response.

Hello David,
GROS replied very quickly, I presume a standard reply saying to both-
‘’Your email Request (copied below) has been received, and has been assigned Request Numbers 1 +2 (actual no’s withheld by me but are in the 4000’s)- Please reply to this email when making enquiries about the status of your Request’’.
I haven’t had to contact SP for ages but in the past e-mails were very friendly and personalized and less ‘’big business’’-or am I just being GRUMPY

Hello--here is todays' reply from Graeme at SP
Good afternoon
I am afraid the problems you are having are similar to ones which some other customers are having at the moment with ActiveX - there have been no changes here which would have caused this. There is a statement on the site at the moment regarding this problem which I have copied in here for you:
"Some users of Microsoft Internet Explorer are having problems viewing
images on our website by using our ActiveX control. We are currently
investigating why this might be the case. Meanwhile if you are one such
customer then please switch to either the Java Viewer or the Direct Download option for accessing images. You may change your viewer type by selecting your preferred viewing method on the "My Details" page. Remember to click "Update Details" once you have made your choice.
If you do encounter this problem, the images are still available from your 'Viewed Images' section for no extra cost."
Regards
Graeme

What I don't understand is - IF it all worked OK 2weeks ago and I haven't altered any settings or installed an update from Windows in the past fortnight and SP haven't done anything-who has?-and is it worth messing about changing to another viewing system which may then lead to other problems-if they are going to find their own fix soon?.
Computers-don't you just love 'em ! ! !
