Did they have children?.....

Post by Cathy » Sun Jan 08, 2006 7:36 pm

Frank Codona / Cadona married Mary Ann Hutton or Lieser
(born McGregor) 1917 Blythswood, Glasgow.
It was a second marriage for both and they each had children from 1st
marriages. Could SKS have a wee look if they are in record office to see
if this couple had children?
They were circus travelling people.

I think that you'll find that they were fairground travelling people, - note that both he and his father are described on the 1917 marriage register entry as "Showman".

The Cadona family still are a well known family in travelling fairgrounds in Scotland.

Have a look at http://www.shef.ac.uk/nfa/intro/index.php

You'll find Frank's parents listed at http://users.nwon.com/pauline/CensusPage3.html

Hi David,
tried to reply earlier, but computer cut out.
I have visited these sites previously, and did see the names.
I am trying to establish if there is a bloodline to my niece.
Thanks for having a look.

Distinctly possible to trace forward in the Scottish records, but you'll need to visit Edinburgh at some point or employ someone to do that on your behalf, in order to acces the later records that are not on line at ScotlandsPeople.

Hi David,
thanks for reply. I was hoping someone could give me a yes or no before I take that route.
