new problem
Ever since I posted my last query (about 30 minutes ago) all the orange symbols for new posts have disappeared and all the forums are showing the blue symbol. Is this only happening to me? or is it a problem with the site?
Researching Campbell, Ramage, Moan, McAnulty (all spellings), Nelson, Gardner

Hi Margaret
This sometimes happens if you are trawling new posts then break off to look at, or do something linked to one of the posts. If the link to TalkingScot is broken (or at least your computer thinks it is) it seems ti assume that you have read all the updates so that when you go back to the list they all apear to have been read.
Moral of the tale is - don't respond to any posts until you have read through all the updates.
Its mildly irritating when it happens because I, for one, can never remember which threads showed the interesting headlines!
I love my computer even when I feel like giving it a kick
