Hi All,
You search on SP and find the marriage you're looking for, unfortunately, it says No Image. It's important to your research so you pay your £10 and await your certificate.
A few years later and the image is now on SP, should you be able to view this image as you already bought the cert?

An interesting question, Merlot.
It's not likely to be answered with a 'Yes' by SP. Requests going back prior to this year's launch of the OPRs would have been searched in-house by staff and there would be no association with your PC that could be traced.
It would have to be a manual process retracing all orders and attaching them to an individual's online account. Even if it were possible, it would be a tremendous undertaking, both in cost and staff time.
It's like buying a computer two months before the next software release

Hi Frances,
The cert I'm talking about was 1909, I've no idea why there was no image at the time I bought it.
I'm having a bit of a dispute with SP about missing previous searches and this was one that I came across which I thought I'd down loaded at the time but now can't access. I now find that I bought it so it must have been No Image. (I can now take it off my gripe list to SP)

Re: Purchased Certs
Unfortunately, no, as what you purchased was a formal, legal "extract" from GROS, not an image from ScotlandsPeople.Merlot wrote:Hi All,

A subtle but important difference, but one that I'm minded to bring up at the next ScotlandsPeople UserGroup meeting
