RAF Sgts WATSON & MORRIS, ex Glasgow?

Post by Jake Drummond » Wed Jan 16, 2013 2:57 pm

Another photograph, this one containing someone I know about; Sgt Walter Watson RAFVR who died along with another pictured in an earlier post, and who who we know nothing about.
Walter's chum in this photo is BILL MORRIS,the taller chap on the right, taken at Valley Forge in the US during their training days. The family suspect that Bill hailed originally from the Glasgow area, and that he met up with Walt during their time in Manitoba, and I know that that this shot was taken on their embarkation leave (taken en route to New York) before heading back to Blighty aboard the Queen Mary on August 26th 1943.

I'd be delighted if anyone connected to Bill, or who knew of him, saw this photo and might get in touch.
I'm writing the story of the crew of HK594 for the families who lost their loved ones on August 29th 1944 in air operations over the Baltic, en route to Stettin.
