Help with Gordon Highlanders Sporran

Hello! I hope this is the proper forum for this question, and my apologies if it's not.

I have come into possession of what appears to be a vintage Gordon Highlanders sporran, but I'd like confirmation as well as any other information I can find about it. Here is a link to an imgur photo album of the sporran: http://imgur.com/a/33Aj1.

On using Google Images, this auction website (from 2014) believes that badge to belong to the Gordon Highlanders c1888 to 1908.

The Gordon Highlanders Museum website describes it as a "Traditional Regimental shield worn on the formal dress (hair) sporran"
