Eureka!!! We found Malcolm Munro!

Post by speleobat2 » Mon Apr 30, 2007 12:12 am

Actually, Colin Milne of NE Scotland found Malcolm's gravesite for my sister and I. After I found his website, I emailed to ask about identifying a cemetery in a photo that my sister had found in our parents papers. Colin agreed with several of you that it was probably Nellfield and just happened to have a trip there planned for the end of this month. Well, he located my great grandfather's grave and emailed pictures today! The memorial plaque is still there on the wall and in very good condition. It was hung somewhere between 1905 and 1915. The plaque also contained additional information showing that our great aunt Ann Raitt is also buried there which we didn't know. If I can get ten minutes together tomorrow, I will post the old photo and one of the new one so people can see Nellfield then and now.

Now, if I could just locate those pesky Clerihews.....

Carol

Hi Carol,
Wonderful news :D Colin Milne has a fascinating site and is also very kind. He took some cemetery pictures for me also a few years back. Let's hear it for Colin! [cheers]
