Congratulations Andy,
A well deserved degree for all your hard work. =D>
But I still don't know how you managed to do Fam. Hist. at the same time!
Wishing you more future success with both.
Cheers - Jack

Congrats Andy :D

I remember my father in law and hubby taking that up as a hobby in the late sixties! My poor Mum in law was at her wits end,as they kept bringing back boxes full of crinoids and brachiopods and having them spread all over the livingroom for hours on end :x
Then hubby started finding old bottles, coins and all sorts which now clutter my house
They must have been all over Gleniffer braes, and I even enjoyed a few digs with them :D

Congrats again Andy,well done!

PS No hubbies not really into GENEALOGY :(

Cheers Nancy

Our class was invited over to one of our lecturers homes for a post exam celebration a couple weeks ago and he is a palaeontologist. You should see his house, its like a museum. Every where you went you could find a hint of geology especially his study which contained all his ammonites and dinosaur footprints and a few bones.

I have a relatively small collection of ammonites I collected while on Skye and other fossils (brachiopods, fossil wood etc) from fieldtrips. Hopefully I can go back to Skye and dig out this huge ammonite I found last year, thats if it is still there.

I too have a small collection of small and old coins with a penny from around 1840 or there abouts as the 3rd digit has a mark across it.
