The records for vessels registered in Inverness from 1786-1985 is held in the Inverness archives Ref:HRA/D217

if you email archives@highland.gov.uk and give them the Reg No the name and the 1899 date, they may be able to give you more information.
Burns, Quinn - Glasgow, N.Ireland
McLeod, Mackay, Nicholson, McNeil - Skye
James, McLeod, Sinclair, Smith - Renton
