Absolutely fascinating, nor least since I speak fluent Swedish, and visited the Vasa in Stockholm only 3 months ago, this after a gap since 1978 when I was amongst the first to visit HKMS Vasa after it's recovery from Stockholm harbour, and was available for a couple of hours each day when not being sprayed with polyglycols in order to preserve the wood, - at that time you were allowed to walk through the inside of the Vasa, - now no longer allowed.

Anyone who visits Stockholm should visit the Vasa Museum, as it's, in my humble opinion, the best museum of its type in the whole world in terms not just of the ship itself, but also the information and artifacts on the society of the time.

My guid lady, who had had expressed minimal interest in the Vasa, and had to be persuaded to include the visit in our intineray ended up completely and utterly gobsmacked by the whole experience :!:

I agree with you the Vasa Museum is very good place to see if any one is going to Stockhome worth a vist plenty to see.One of my family tree members a Marine Biologist from Florida was there last year- Sweden is a nice place lovely people.
