Does SP have the Marine returns on-line, I would like to search for Robert Thomson 1888 Marine return age 58 022/MR. 302.
I was in Park Circus today and could not look it up there.

No!! You need to visit NRH in Edinburgh to be able to view the information that they have on fiche.

At some point in the next few years this "Minor Records" information in terms of linked digitised images should become available on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk ............ but be aware that the information in such a record will not match that available in a normal Scottish civil register entry .........

Hi Andrew, thanks for that, now I think I can rule him out as it has he is from Montrose. Guy I am looking for worked as a Steamboat Porter (1881 census info) in Stranraer area.
