M.V St Catherine.Grangemouth

I am trying to find out what finally happened to the St Catherine in the 1940's as my great Uncle died due to whatever the outcome .David

Hi David.

This could be the one Cargo Ship ST Catherine 1,216 grt build 1916 sunk by German Torpedo bomber 14th November 1940.

Five and a half miles east of Aberdeen, While on voyage from Aberdeen to Kirkwall carrying general cargo and 4 Passengers.

14 crew and 1 Passenger killed sorry i could not find any names.

Some times a lot of hard work finding ships info-- books and on line a good friend of mine ex Seafarer sent me your info you where looking for.
A site i find good is Uboat.net :D to be a help.
