Registers of Seamen's Services

Post by Pandabean » Sun Jan 21, 2007 8:36 pm

Just wondering what these contain. I have 1 hit for an Archibald Greenlees who was from Lochgelly, Fife around 1900. I have no conclusive proof that it is a great great uncle as I know he was a Coal Miner in 1901 and living in Midlothian with his mother. He was in his 20s still but the Greenlees family lived in Lochgelly/Burntisland areas around the late 1800s and early 1900s.

So would they actually contain parents info?

It's taken me nearly 3 months to read this post so sorry for the delayed reply. Just wanted to say thanks for the link. A great amount of information on there which I will find really useful. The NA site is not the easiest to navigate given the amount of info it contains.

Cheers
