Hello jjlmary312,

In a previous answer I provided a link to a very detailed description of the Glasgow Family Home that appeared in the Otago Daily Times, 16 April 1900. viewtopic.php?f=36&t=16885#p135713

According to that article it was operated by the Glasgow Corporation and I guess that means that if there were any records retained they would be held by the Mitchell Library. Note that it was a lodging house for employed people without partners who needed to have their children cared for while at work.

All the best,
Alan

Hi

Thanks for everyone who helped regarding poorhouses and asylums. I found the information and have copies that I was looking for.

Thanks again
