Just found this and thought it may be of help to those researching family who spent any time in hospital or asylums in the Dundee area:

The Collections
Tayside Health Board (THB)
Asylums, Hospitals, Boards of Management, Colleges of Nursing etc. in the Tayside area.
Dundee Dental Hospital (DDH)
Manuscript Collections (MS)
Other medical collections relating to organisations and individuals held by the University of Dundee Archives.
University Records Collection (UR)
Contains the records of various medical professors and lecturers.
