Hi,
My gt.gt.g/father is listed in the 1851 Census as being a Fancy Paper Box Maker, also his youngest son is listed with the same Occupation. (Before that he was a Weaver in the 1841 Census.)
I presume they would have been making the boxes at home. Does anyone know anything about this occupation?
Regards,
Pat Bostock.

Hi Pat,
Don't know if this will help.
It's a link to a site describing the manufacture of a type of "Fancy Box".
