Hi all,

Is this abbreviation likely to stand for Power Loom Weaver in the 1841 census, the occupation of a female?

I just didn't know if Power looms were around in 1841 or not.

Hi Nina,

The 1841 census enumerators' instructions included a list of occupations and the abbreviations to be used for them.
