Hi Anne
I did a search on SP for Rachel Love age 8 in 1851 and there is only one. This is the index entry for her:
1851 LOVE RACHEL F 8 AIRDRIE OR NEW MONKLAND /LANARK 651/00 039/00 019
When viewing the image on http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk it is undecipherable. It is obvious the LOVE family is the first listed on the page with 10 members and then there is the dividing marks/address change and another family fills out the page. Perhaps it is a victim of the blue ink used on that year's census....ie the digitizing of the page is of inadequate quality. Regardless...you should be able to obtain a legible image or at least a refund of credits expended if you notified SP via a contact form.
Best wishes
Jean

Re: Love/Allan 1851 Census
Hi Anne/Jean
I had a similar problem with one of mine on the 1851 Census, when I contacted SP they very kindly sent me a scanned image which was nice and clearly read.

Re: Love/Allan 1851 Census
Hi Jean and Stewie,
Yes, SP are very good at sending out clear copies for the poor images...I've had lots and lots from them - you can't beat them for service.
JEAN...Thanks very much for having a look on SP. I'm going to hold off ordering the image for now since apanderson sent me a copy of the page from Ancestry with the closest neighbouring Allan family in the vicinity...not the family I was hoping to find. Anne also sent me the 1841 with a Ralph Allan and Margaret Love (Hendry's sister) and it looks like the two Allan children, Janet and Catherine who were on the 1851 with the Love's were Ralph and Margaret's children. So not the family I wanted to find but nevertheless connected, so I'm a bit further on now.
Thanks again everyone.
Regards,
Anne H
