However there is an Irish Born Married, Waiter, Barney Feeney aged 23 in a Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri in 1870. No family present.

Bernard and Catherine married in 1859 so there may be clues on that certificate (siblings to trace etc.)

Sorry early morning moment Barney should have been 33ish

Andy,
the possible you saw in Holytown, was that a death record or census record? I found him in the census for 1861 in Holytown, but when I tried the search you suggested under death record, it returned none.

Belay that last Death cert, I'd looked quickly at the place name, the actual name was Bernard Fearon so unlikely to be yours.

Have you downloaded the 1859 marriage cert yet? This will confirm the parents on both sides and the witnesses may provide further clues.

Good Morning Andy:

I downloaded their MC a while back, Bernards father is listed as Bernard Feeney (deceased) and Biddy Feeney ms Martin, witnesses were William Connor, and Agnes Doherty, neither name rings any bells. His Wife was Catherine Cuniff, parents Michael Cuniff, and Bridget Cuniff ms Rooney.

The marriage took place in Shettleston,. both age 22 on 14th Nov 1859.

I am just so stumped as to what became of him, he was a coal miner by trade, Ive scoured many mining sites and searched the Scotsman's archives for accident reports.

I wont give up, somewhere there is a record of this mans passing!!

Many Thanks,
Karen
Make it a great day!
