Orr & Hendry

Hi Rita,

Thanks for the information about your Orr and Hendry relations. There are so many of them it's difficult to sort out, but maybe there is a connection somewhere.

Hi there Alien,

Would you believe I am also from Dalmuir - but now in Birmingham. Mum still lives there and we go up every New Year to spend it with her. She is in Dumbarton Road near Agamemnon Street

Welcome to TS - and aren't the members here just terrific? I too have had some great help when hitting brick walls etc.

I was interested to read that you have links to Orr. I am just starting to investigate my Orr family who lived in Calton in Glasgow and there seems to be tribes of them! The only down side I have found recently is that they have probably originated from Ireland which will make searching too far back impossible. Hopefully we will find we have a common link at some point.

Hi Helen,

Thanks for the message. I agree it's a fantastic site and the members are so helpful, it's wonderful.

If you think I can help with your Orr research just ask, but I know what you mean about there being so many. It's quite a challenge for us both.
