1851 census Fife Please .....

Post by Fran » Tue Jul 19, 2005 9:49 pm

Has anyone got the 1851 census for Fife?
I have the McIntyre family in 1841 in Charlestown, John age 55, Lab Lime Works, b Dunfermline, Wife Margaret age 55, Son Henry age 25, Lab Lime Works and Daughter Janet age 15.
Would be grateful if any of them could be found on the 1851 census.
Many Thanks
Fran

Hi Fran,
I called the History Collection at the Dunfermline Library and they confirmed that they do hold this info.If you send an email and mark it for the attention of "local history collections" they'll help with this for you. This is their e'mail address dclib.admin@fife.gov.uk
I stay in the next town and use a lot of their resources. Hope this helps. Good luck.
