Hi JustJan,
That record appears to be a submitted one (by a member of the LDS church) and therefore should be taken with caution. Sometimes they are correct, sometimes not. This is a good example of one where the submitter has given incorrect place information, possibly meaning Lassintullich, which is in Perthshire, not Lanarkshire. The corresponding extracted (from the registers) record is the christening of Elizabeth Stewart in Fortingall, Perth (some 12 miles from Lassintullich), born 5 Feb 1831, Christened 12 Mar 1831. You will see this record if you search for the birth of Elizabeth Stewart in 1831, parents John and Janet on the IGI. When you click on a name to bring up the record, look at the heading "Messages" towards the bottom of the entry. This will tell you whether it is submitted or extracted.
That family is still in Fortingall in the 1841 census
Regards,
Sarah

Fortingall Parish was a large rural parish, including Lassintullich in it's north-east corner.SarahND wrote:... (from the registers) record is the christening of Elizabeth Stewart in Fortingall, Perth (some 12 miles from Lassintullich), born 5 Feb 1831, Christened 12 Mar 1831. ...
