Marion Watson ms Brown died in Eaglesham 1855 aged 87
Husband James Watson seems to be still living at the time. I cannot find them on 1841 or 51 census. They married in 1795 iN Kippen, Stirlingshire but no idea where they were born
Could someone check the 51 and maybe 41 - in case I've missed them?
many thanks

Hopefully you know James's occupation to confirm or not. Marions' death entry should give you where she was born.
That couple are still at the same address in 1851. James age 75. Marrion 80.
I see their son John lived at Eaglesham in 1851.

Annette

Any 1855 death I've seen gives place of birth in the same column. Pity it doesn't give James's occupation.steiner wrote:Thanks Annette. I don't know the occupation but on the death certificate dated 1855 it says resident in Eaglesham for 2 years
There is a death entry of a James Watson also at Eaglesham in 1855 - have you looked at that?
