Stevenson Land, Kempoch St. Gourock

Hi,

A big favour, please...would someone with access to Ancestry and/or the 1871 census plug in Stevenson Land, Kempoch St. Gourock, Renfrew and tell me who lives there?

I have a John Russell Mitchell being born at that address in August 1871 and his mother must have been visiting someone since their usual residence was at Garscube Road in Maryhill. I'm hoping it might be relatives.

I'll have to check them out but offhand, can't associate the names as being part of this particular family...perhaps family friends. Of course, these Browns could have just moved into and/or out of the house after the census. :? :wink:

Just as an aside, my wife says I live at 2 Kempock Street, Gourock. It's now Cleats Bar and has been for over 100 years. There is residential property just above and the Building is lovely. I'll try to get a copy of some old photos to post for you.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.
