William Bruce 1911

After many searches of the 1911 census I have to admit defeat and ask for your help,
William Bruce born 1834 in Fettercairn and his wife Isabel (Hardie) born Kirkden were in the Newtyle 1901 census both age 67. William dies in 1915 and Isabel in 1922 both in Kirriemuir Angus. I have not been able to locate ether of them separately or together, I have them in all the other census from 1841 through 1901 feel like
William worked on farms all his working life and all the family live in the Angus/Perthshire area except for one son who was in Glasgow for a while.

Hi Smid,

Have you tried without a Forename.

I put in Bruce no forename , both sexes ,age 75 -80 in Perth this produced 8 results
the same format in Kirriemuir produced 3.
A search for all of Scotland for Isabel Bruce in that age produces 6 but only one for a William.
They could have been out of their usual district at time of Census.

Thanks for the reply, yes I have tried searching with no forename age 70 to 80 but the forenames are way off, I have looked at the ones in Kirriemuir and its not them. I need to go back and make a list of the searches I have done and work from there, can't help but feel like I'm missing something obvious.
