Hello Davie,
I would appreciate knowing details of people that you would expect to find in Canongate so that I can check when I am in Edinburgh. You can get my e-mail address from my profile.

Hello Davie,
Now there's a strange one, I was certain that I'd found the rest of the family on the 1881 but just looking again I haven't got Elizabeth on that one and no-one that even looks like her when I've just searched again under Ronald or Stenhouse. I'll have to try a few *** looking for her now. By the way how did you know she was a Stenhouse?
Yes thanks I've got her death certificate. She died in 1886 age 74 at 5 Oakfield Court, Pleasance. Which was the address my gggrandfather Alexander was living at in the 1881 census.

Hi Davie,
Even fewer Norman Mcleod Ronalds I'm betting. I'm guessing from reading these boards that he was named after the minister who was in Dalkeith at the time he was born. What is puzzling me though is there are no more Williams in the family, that I can find anyway, going back to Alexander, my gggrandfather all the boys are called Alexander or George Stenhouse Ronald, right down to the present day.
