1881 Census please .....

If one of you kind souls has 1881 census could you please look for an
Isabella Donaldson aged 80. All i know is she is living near Andrew Donaldson who is at Cairntown, Banff. I have no credits left on SP otherwise i would look myself. Her birth place may say Botripihnie(?) but not neccessarily.

I found a posting ages ago in connection to my Donaldsons and a genealogist in Canada replied saying ..........your Andrew-2 in the 1881 Census living at Cairntown, Banff. Not far away was an Isabella Donaldson age 80, his granny.

This Isabella would be my gtx4 grandmother

I've shortened this - you've already got them!
There is no address for Isabella on Ed 3 p 4. LDS transcriber probably forgot to add it.
But i wouldn't think it would be too far away from Andrew on Ed 2 p 1.

You must have been reading my mind as i posted that Xmas bit as you were sending !!! spooky ! but what do i look for in terms of LDS as there are lots of cd,s arent there ? I know my local - ish library only has one that covers Scotland.

The Scotland data is on 2 disks of the set. They are titled Highland and Lowland Scotland - do not take the titles literally. I think they drew the line as near as it would split the population 50/50 between the disks. Highland is Dunbartonshire-Stirlingshire-Fife and northwards. Lowlands is everywhere south of that.

You used to be able to buy these CDs and the CD with the viewer program to give a Scotland only 1881 census. I am not sure that you can do that now. I think I read somewhere that they are only sold as the full set of CDs - Scotland, England, Wales, the national index and the viewer program.
