Post by delmarco » Thu Dec 08, 2005 3:57 pm

This GGG Uncle seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, he was 20, and living with his sister and brother in law in 1851 in Govan, He was born in Ireland, parent were Hugh Campbell and Rose Campbell ms Mc alan?

( posted sister Bridget death cert in the gallery for help in determining the maiden name of the mother?

at any rate, I know he was a coal miner by trade and am searching some of the mining sites to see if he was victim of an accident.

Please let me know if you find him,
Thank you all so much for your help.

Kind Regards,
Karen :D

Karen

You probably have this site for Scottish mining villages. But if not here it is, I found my gggrandfather as a casualty in one of the accidents.

Karen

Very glad to hear you found your James :D

I had a peek at his entry, and his death was caused by same type of accident as my Thomas Davidson "Fall of roof".

It is a well organised site isnt it. =D>
