Can anyone tell me if there is a census index to the 1851 census for DUMFRIES.

It has a search facility for 1851 census for Dumfrieshire. So far the FreeCen doesn't have Dumfries completed yet.....and we all know that SP is holding out for a few more weeks! This site is FREE though!!

Hello Jean,
Santa was indeed good to me this year.
I have been going through this site piece by piece and have as yet found no sign of the family that I know is indeed there.Have to say its making me dafter than usual.
