Hello Karen,

I don't know if it's him but have you looked at Andrew McMenemey (note spelling) age 27 in Cambuslang 1901?

Hello Karen,

Annette is spot-on, but she beat me to posting the details. Father James was a widower in 1901, and he died in 1903 (also Cambuslang) with son James as informant. I would have expected the eldest son to be informant, and I can find no trace of Andrew after 1901, so perhaps he moved to another country.

Regards,

John

Hi Karen

You might want to have a look at this website... www.mcmenemy.org.

I was able to locate the marriage of a great uncle on here who married a Sarah McMenemy in 1869.

Thanks Steph
Ive been a frequent visitor and contributor to that website, I am having trouble tracing my great uncles however after 1891, (Andrew,& John ) and Im going to scour that website again, It seems quite a few McMenemy members went off to Australia, and Canada, its possible these chaps followed suit.
I thank you for your input, and would like to know more about your Sarah McMenemy link, whom did she marry, and when?

Regards,
Karen

ps little bit o trivia, there is a write of childrens books names Sarah McMenemy, I bought a few for my great nephews this year for under the tree, they are delightful!
Make it a great day!
