1841 Census .....

Post by Wee Ina » Thu Mar 09, 2006 1:24 am

Hello,

I have William Livingstone b.1812c and Elizabeth Campbell b.1813c

Children Marjory 1832c Dundee
Mary 1835c Kilmun
William 1837c Kilmun
George 1840c Dunoon

Now dont laugh but i found them plus 2 more children born after 1840 living in a tent on the sea shore in kilmun in the 1851 census - they must have been very poor and very cold.

I have just been on Freecen and have done a search area by area and cannot find them on the 1841 census

I have been on SP and cannot find any type of certificate for any of them.

Would it be possible for someone with access to the 1841 census to see what they can find for me please or if someone could give me some fresh searching ideas, i have done all the name/spelling bit.

Many thanks

Wee Ina

I know we are so well off today its amazing. I keep trying to imagine what the tent was like and if its anything like what i had my nightmare about last night im surprised they survived

Williams profession as of the 1851 census is a Tinsmith and fisherman.

There is nothing down for Elizabeths profession but she did have a 5yr old son called Robert at that time.

Many thanks
