1841 Census Old Monkland Lanark .....

Post by Jean Jeanie » Sat Mar 25, 2006 6:21 pm

Waiting impatiently for the above as I am stuck on my Sneddon family from Old Monkland Lanark. :(

If anyone can have a look for them in 1841 then that would be great. I have them in 1851 at 129 Long Row Gartsherrie. I also have them in 1881 at the same address and George as a widower in 1891

This is what I have.

George Sneddon and wife Margaret were married Jan 1841 so should be on the 1841, both born about 1822. I am hoping that they may be with his parents or near his parents. His parents were James Sneddon and wife Rachel. I have no further info on James and Rachel. Just hoping that they were alive in 1841

Hi Jean Jeanie,

I have an Elizabeth Glendinning in my family tree born 1800 Dryhope Yarrow Selkirk. She was married to Robert Renwick.

Elizabeth's parents were Thomas Glendinning and Mary Weir.

Thomas' parents were Robert Glendinold 1710 and Mary Helm 1710. Would these be the same Glendinning's?

Regards

Donna
Looking for Dickson, Reid, McGill lines in Scotland. Ord and Potter lines in England.

Hi Donna

All my Glendinnings, so far, come from the West and Mid Lothian.
