1851 Dunfermline/Fife help please .....

Post by ladybird » Sat Apr 08, 2006 10:27 am

Hi all

I have this from SP but there seems to be no image with it.
Does anyone have access to this page please as I'd like to know who else is listed and whether I have the right Christian Burt born Falkirk.

1 1851 BURT CHRISTIAN F 23 DUNFERMLINE /FIFE 424/00 003/00 004 No Image ORDER

There may be some connection here between an Andrew Burt and Ann Toshack married in Dunfermline...haven't quite worked it out yet

Thank you, Sylvia

Hi Ladybird (not a Johnson are you?). I have an Ann Toshack b.1834, Saline, whose father was William Toshack, mother Helen Wardlaw, and who married William Wardlaw b.1830 at Saline 1857 (close to Dunfermline). I´ve not delved deeply but William was my gr. grandmother´s elder brother.

Sorry no census image though!

Any links?

Regards,

Thrall

Hi Thrall

No not a Johnson, I just wear a lot of red and black :D

I've only just come across Ann Toshack in the SP wills as widow of Andrew Burt.
I did think this might be my rellie, but after further poking around methinks it might be my Andrew's cousin. (I have 2 Burt children, both with father Andrew, marrying...second cousins...Christian's sister Elizabeth and John Burt)
And that possibly Christian Burt was staying with them for the 1851 census?
