McDonalds .....

Is anyone else having problems finding their rellies in the East Lothian area in the 1841 census?
I can't find the family of Archibald McDonald & his wife Alison anywhere, though I found one daughter Euphemia where I thought the family should be - Whittinghame. Then they moved on to Prestonkirk and Markle farm where I found them in 51 & 61. Archibald and Alison would have been around 40-45 yrs old, they had their family between 1820 & 1845.
Anyone able to give me any pointers on where to look now?

Where did you find them? Oopps just noticed the mis-spelling!
I tried SP and Freecen with no luck.

Found them on FreeCen - typed in Archibald McDonald and ticked the phonetic search box. Just glad I could help.

Silly me hadn't tried that though I did for my Price family with no luck. Mind you the phonetic spellling on that was a bit weird, I fully expected it to come up with Pryce, Pearce, Preece but was flummoxed when it came up with Parks!
Will always do a phonetic in future
