Hi Karen
This could possibly be a case of mis-transcription. A name like Parsell could be mis-read as Purcell. Have you tried using 'wildcards' on scotlandspeople?
I would try putting in P*r*l. It may bring up some unexpected variations but 1 credit for the whole list is better than wasting credits on dud searches.
I hope you have opened out her possible age as well and made her 85 to 95 since relatives did not always get the ages right (or for that matter the names of her parents either!)
The two 'wildcards' available are '*' and '?'
'?' replaces only one letter in a name while '*' will substitute for several letters or none (e.g. for the name McDougall I would put in M*D*g*l. Even if it has been spelt MacDugul this will find it. My mistake was to forget that it can also be spelt McDuguld so we spent a small fortune first!!!)
Think of possibilities no matter how bizarre and try them.
